We met Mary at the Fraser Art Gallery in Tatamagouche where she was exhibiting some of her work. We pounced on her and asked if she would be willing to contribute to our site.  She said “yes!”

Mary writes:

I live in Malagash in the summer and Florida in the winter.  I have a fairly big vegetable garden and some rather untamed flower gardens.

Since childhood I have always been happiest outdoors in nature, and have leaned towards art because of the powerful visual images of the natural beauty surrounding me.

I have taken various art classes in the past, including drawing and painting, and have tried to take one new bit of knowledge back to my own work each time.

 In general, I would describe my art as impressionism. I have exhibited some of my work at the Fraser in Tatamagouche, in Truro and in Venice Florida.
